Grades

Because of the categories function in the gradesheet, I cannot prevent an extra item from being calculated for all students. It makes it appear as though all students are missing a duplicate assignment for a student with an accommodation, for example. Is there a way to work around this?

The students apparently cannot see the scores for individual items; they only see category points or percentages from the home page. If I'm not using categories, then this feature is useless. Can I give students access to their grades/scores for individuals items on the gradesheet, or am I limited to the summary display on the course homepage?

Discussions

I set the link target for "new window." This opened a new tab in Firefox when I entered the discussion fora. At random, the next time I logged in, this stopped working. The discussion screen opened in the same window (no new tab opened). Logging out AND quitting Firefox did not solve this problem.

Discussion postings are not time-stamped. If this is some default setting that can be changed, I can't find the place where it can be changed.

Email

I have two email folders, which students use indiscriminately: One is "personal"; the other is identified with the course name. This means I get mail in two different folders for no reason. I can defeat this by choosing "Show all" from the Source Filter menu, but the system always defaults back to the course folder, meaning I have to reset it every time. Can I channel all my email into a single folder?
